Requirements

RCA Timeline runs on Joomla 4, 5, or 6 with PHP 8.1 or newer. You need published articles in com_content and permission to create site modules.

PHP extensions

Image resize options use GD when available. If GD is missing, the module still renders but resize modes may not apply.

Front-end assets

The module registers its CSS and JavaScript through Web Asset Manager. Your template must call Joomla’s asset pipeline on pages where the module appears (standard for J4+ templates).

Optional jQuery

Enable Use jquery in module options only if timeline interactions fail on your template; most sites should leave it off so Joomla’s bundled jQuery is not loaded twice.
