These guides mirror the three modes administrators actually run: plain catalog, Conditional Products presentation, and booking-aware cards. Each guide names which RCA companion product must exist before you enable the related module options.

Build a simple shop grid without CondProd or Bridge

Set product source to manual or J2Commerce category. Set eligibility mode to Off. Disable OSB duration and availability. Publish the module on the shop landing menu item. Test as guest and as a registered customer group you care about. Keep the product list short. Duplicate the module on another menu item with a different category set if you want separate browse pages without rules.

Add RCA Conditional Products lock styling

Install and configure RCA Conditional Products first. Create a rule with qualifying and dependent products. Enable J2Commerce - RCA Conditional Products in System → Plugins. Return to the Product Catalog module. Either set product source to Conditional Products rule or keep manual or category source and set eligibility mode to show locked dependents. Save, clear cache, test with two accounts: one without qualifier and one with qualifier satisfied.

Confirm cart refusal separately from card appearance. If dependents look locked but still add to cart, RCA Conditional Products enforcement is off or the rule is wrong. Fix the J2Commerce plugin and rule, not Storefront CSS.

Show OS Services Booking duration on cards

Install RCA OSB to J2C Bridge and map each service ID to the matching J2Commerce product ID in sid_map. Enable Show OSB duration or Show OSB availability on the module. Include those products in your manual or category selection. Bridge still owns hold to cart after a valid booking hold; Storefront only displays duration or slot previews on the card.

Combine consult purchase, booking, and catalog display

Set RCA Conditional Products qualifier to the consult package or deposit SKU and dependents to products that must wait. Enable the Conditional Products OSB gate system plugin if booking routes must stay closed until qualified. In Storefront, show qualifier and dependents with lock styling on dependents. In Bridge, map the OSB consult service to the J2Commerce product that should land in cart after hold when you sell the slot through cart. Test without qualifier, then with qualifier. Each product does one job.

Replace a crowded homepage products module

Unpublish or reassign the old J2Commerce Products module on the same page while testing to avoid duplicate grids fighting for attention. Publish RCA Product Catalog with the curated ID list you actually want on the homepage. Keep category menus and product detail routes wherever core shop views still work.

Day-to-day maintenance

After changing selection mode or IDs, save the module, clear Joomla cache, hard-refresh. After Conditional Products rule edits, re-save the rule, clear cache, retest lock styling and cart enforcement separately. After Bridge sid_map edits, save Bridge options, clear cache, retest duration on cards and hold to cart path.
