1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing recreatinganew.com, showcase.recreatinganew.com, or any related RCA subdomain, or by downloading, installing, or using any RCA extension, you ("User," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use our website or extensions.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and customers. For Pro extension purchases, these Terms supplement — and in the event of conflict, yield to — the End User License Agreement (EULA) for Pro Extensions.
2. About RCA
ReCreatingAnew ("RCA") is a software development operation owned and operated by GinA, based in Sidney, Maine, USA. RCA develops Joomla extensions for use with the Joomla Content Management System. Free extensions are released under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPL). Pro extensions are distributed under a commercial license in addition to the GPL (see Section 5 and the EULA).
3. Use of the Website
3.1 Permitted Use
You may use recreatinganew.com and its subdomains for lawful purposes consistent with these Terms, including browsing extension documentation, downloading free extensions, and purchasing Pro extensions.
3.2 Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Use the site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, its servers, or related infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content without prior written permission
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the site or update servers
- Submit false or fraudulent purchase information
- Impersonate RCA or any individual associated with RCA
3.3 Showcase and Main Sites
Use of showcase.recreatinganew.com and any showcase subdomains is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
4. Free Extensions (GPL)
RCA's free extensions are released under the GNU General Public License version 2 or later. The full text of the GPL is included in each extension package as `LICENSE.txt` and is available at https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html.
The GPL grants you the right to:
- Use the extension on any number of sites
- Study, modify, and redistribute the source code under the same GPL license
The GPL does not entitle you to:
- RCA support, updates, or Pro features
- Use of the RCA name, logo, or brand for derivative works without permission
- Remove RCA copyright notices from source files
5. Pro Extensions and License Keys
5.1 License Grant
Purchase of a Pro extension grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that extension on the number of domains specified in your plan, for the duration of your license term (annual or lifetime, as purchased). Full terms are set out in the EULA for Pro Extensions.
5.2 License Key System
Pro features are gated by RCA's license validation system. Your license key is tied to your registered domain(s). Sharing, transferring, or using a license key on unauthorized domains is a material breach of your license agreement and may result in key revocation without refund.
5.3 Pricing
All prices are listed in US dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice. Your purchase price is locked at the time of transaction. Applicable taxes are your responsibility.
5.4 No Unauthorized Resale
You may not resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute RCA Pro extensions or license keys without a separate written reseller agreement.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 RCA Ownership
RCA owns all rights, title, and interest in the RCA name, logo, brand, website design, and documentation. Extension source code is released under the GPL but the RCA name and branding remain proprietary.
6.2 Trademarks
"ReCreatingAnew" and the RCA phoenix logo are trademarks of GinA. Use of these marks in any way that implies endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship without written permission is prohibited.
6.3 Third-Party Software
RCA extensions may integrate with or build upon third-party software (Joomla, J2Store, EasySocial, etc.). All third-party trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective owners. RCA's use of these names is for compatibility identification only and does not imply any endorsement by those parties.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE WEBSITE, EXTENSIONS, AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
RCA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:
- Extensions will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Extensions will be compatible with every third-party extension, custom codebase, or hosting environment
- Defects will be corrected
- The website or update servers will be available at any particular time

8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RCA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE EXTENSIONS OR WEBSITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
RCA'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID RCA IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RCA and GinA from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of any extension, or your infringement of any third-party right.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Kennebec County, Maine, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
For disputes involving amounts under $10,000 USD, either party may elect binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version at recreatinganew.com/terms with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the site or extensions after the updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance.
12. Termination
RCA reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the website or revoke Pro license keys, without notice, for material violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or abuse of the support system.
