Install and Updates

RCA Conditional Products installs as a Pro package with component and plugins. Upgrades should preserve rules in the database, but you must re-save and re-open critical rules after multi-select edits on any version change because that is how you catch save regressions early.

Install the package

Confirm J2Commerce is installed and you can add a normal product to cart. Upload pkg_rca_condprod through System → Install → Extensions. Confirm com_rca_condprod appears under Components and both Conditional Products plugins appear under System → Plugins.

Enable the pieces you actually use

Enable J2Commerce - RCA Conditional Products for every gated cart site. Enable System - RCA Conditional Products OSB only when OS Services Booking routes must respect the same rules before booking or bridge slot select. Disable the OSB gate when you only gate cart products and do not run booking gating.

Upgrade procedure

Install the newer Pro ZIP over the existing package or accept the private Pro update feed. Re-enable plugins if Joomla disabled anything during update. Re-save critical rules, re-open each rule to confirm qualifying and dependent product lists stuck, clear Joomla cache, and retest cart with and without qualifier.

Version 1.0.9 fixed rule save preserving all qualifying and dependent products from J2Commerce ProductMultiselect fields. Version 1.0.8 fixed PHP 8 bind-by-reference issues when saving multiple qualifying products. If you lived through older builds, upgrade before you trust ancient rules on disk.

If you also upgraded RCA Storefront or RCA OSB to J2C Bridge in the same maintenance window, retest Conditional Products cart rules separately from catalog display and booking-to-cart. Debugging three products as one symptom wastes everyone’s time.

Uninstall expectations

Uninstalling removes enforcement plugins and the rules component from Extensions. Existing J2Commerce products and past orders remain. Turn off RCA Storefront eligibility styling if locks would mislead shoppers after enforcement is gone. Bridge sid_map is unaffected unless you remove Bridge separately. Clear Joomla cache after uninstall.

Conditional Products is Pro. Download after purchase from https://recreatinganew.com. Updates use the private Pro feed. Pricing is on the current product page.
