RCA Storefront sits in the middle of a common RCA J2Commerce stack: Bridge maps booking to cart, Conditional Products enforces purchase rules, and Storefront shows the catalog. Storefront is the display layer. It does not swap jobs with the other two products.
J2Commerce provides shop views, product detail layouts through subtemplate apps and the layout builder, cart, checkout, and mod_j2commerce_products for generic grids. Storefront adds mod_rca_product_catalog for curated pages with optional CondProd and OSB presentation. Product detail, cart, and payment stay on J2Commerce paths you already configured.
RCA Conditional Products defines qualifying and dependent rules in Components → Conditional Products and enforces them through J2Commerce - RCA Conditional Products on add to cart, cart updates, and checkout. Storefront can consume a rule for product source or apply eligibility styling on manual and category lists. If Storefront shows a lock while checkout still accepts the dependent, enable and fix Conditional Products enforcement first. Pretty locks without the J2Commerce plugin are cosmetic by design.
Storefront cannot create or edit rules. Rule admin stays in the Conditional Products component. After rule edits, clear cache and retest card styling separately from cart refusal.
System - RCA OSB J2C Bridge maps OS Services Booking service IDs to J2Commerce product IDs through sid_map and owns hold to cart after a valid booking hold. Storefront reads that map when OSB duration or availability module options are enabled. Bridge does not decide who may book; RCA Conditional Products OSB gate system plugin applies rule checks on booking routes when you enable it.
A consult-before-booking flow often uses Conditional Products to gate booking, Storefront to show qualifier and locked dependents on the catalog page, and Bridge to map the consult service to the cart product after hold. Storefront does not replace any of those steps.
RCA J2C Direct Download serves free zero-dollar downloadables from article shortcodes. It does not render inside Product Catalog cards. Sites that sell paid products through Storefront and give away free PDFs through articles use both products on different pages without conflict.
Bridge maps hold to cart. Storefront displays cards with optional lock look and optional OSB duration. Conditional Products enforces rules in cart and checkout and optionally on booking POST through the OSB gate plugin. Storefront shows. Conditional Products decides. Bridge carts the booking after hold when configured.
