Requirements

Conditional Products enforces policy on a working J2Commerce cart. Requirements include a stricter PHP floor than some other RCA J2C products and optional companions for display and booking stacks.

Joomla and PHP

Joomla 4, 5, or 6 is supported. PHP 8.2 or newer is required on package version 1.0.10 documented here. Plan hosting upgrades before purchase if the server still runs PHP 8.1 for other extensions.

J2Commerce

J2Commerce must be installed with published products usable as qualifiers and dependents. Super User access or equivalent is required to install packages, enable plugins, and manage component rules. The installer should fail clearly when J2Commerce is missing.

Mandatory plugins for enforcement

J2Commerce - RCA Conditional Products must be enabled for any gated cart behavior. Rules in Components → Conditional Products do not enforce themselves. That plugin listens on add to cart, cart updates, and checkout paths.

Optional OS Services Booking stack

OS Services Booking is required only when you enable System - RCA Conditional Products OSB to gate booking POST or Bridge slot select before hold creation. RCA OSB to J2C Bridge is recommended when, after qualification, a booking hold should land a mapped J2Commerce product in cart. Conditional Products gates; Bridge maps.

Optional RCA Storefront

RCA Storefront is optional. It displays catalog cards and eligibility lock styling when CondProd is installed. Storefront never replaces the J2Commerce Conditional Products plugin for enforcement.

Rule design expectations

You need clear qualifying SKUs and dependent SKUs. Multi-select saves demand re-open verification after save on every package version because that is how administrators catch empty rule membership before shoppers do.

Honest limits

Storefront lock without this package enabled in cart paths is cosmetic. Conditional Products does not map OSB to products. Conditional Products does not render catalogs. Conditional Products does not take payment. Re-save rules after upgrades and clear cache when testing qualifier and dependent membership.
