1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of RCA's showcase and demonstration sites, including but not limited to recreatinganew.com and any Joomla-version-specific showcase subdomains (e.g., showcase.recreatinganew.com, showcase.recreatinganew.com/j4/, showcase.recreatinganew.com/j5/, j3.recreatinganew.com). These sites exist for a single purpose: to allow prospective users to evaluate RCA extensions in a live Joomla environment before purchasing.
By accessing any RCA showcase or main site, you agree to this AUP.
2. What Showcase Sites Are
RCA showcase sites are:
- Live Joomla installations pre-configured with RCA extensions
- Shared environments — many visitors use the same showcase account simultaneously
- Periodically reset — all data entered or modified is wiped and restored to the default demonstration state on a scheduled basis (approximately every 30 minutes)
- Not for production use — they are not suitable for hosting real websites, real users, or real data
Showcase accounts are provided with limited administrator access scoped to testing the functionality of RCA extensions.
3. Permitted Uses
You may:
- Browse the front end and administration panel of installed RCA extensions
- Create, edit, and delete test content (articles, categories, menu items, products, etc.) within the scope provided by the showcase account
- Test Pro extension features to evaluate whether they meet your needs before purchasing
- Test compatibility with your intended content types or workflows in a standard Joomla environment
4. Prohibited Uses
You may not use any RCA showcase or main site to:
4.1 Security and Infrastructure
- Attempt to gain access beyond the permissions granted to the showcase account (privilege escalation, admin panel bypass, etc.)
- Upload malicious files, scripts, shells, malware, or any code designed to harm the server or other users
- Perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, fuzzing, or any automated security testing without prior written permission from RCA
- Attempt to extract database contents, server configurations, license keys, or any data beyond what is accessible through normal extension use
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the site at a rate that impairs performance for other users
4.2 Content
- Upload, post, or display content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, or otherwise objectionable
- Upload personally identifiable information about real individuals without their consent
- Upload copyrighted material you do not have the right to use
- Enter real payment card numbers, real customer data, or any sensitive real-world information — these sites are for testing with fictional data only
- Impersonate RCA, GinA, or any other person or entity
4.3 Commercial and Operational Misuse
- Use the showcase site to host a live production website or any real-world business operation
- Attempt to configure the site for use by third parties (unauthorized resale or subletting of showcase access)
- Use the showcase environment as a staging server for non-RCA projects
- Attempt to install non-RCA extensions, themes, or plugins without permission
4.4 Account Misuse
- Share the showcase account credentials publicly or in a way that leads to abuse of the site
- Change the showcase account password (it will be reset automatically, but doing so intentionally to lock out other users is prohibited)
- Attempt to register new accounts or elevate the permissions of the showcase account
5. Data Reset Policy
All content on showcase and showcase sites is reset automatically, approximately every 30 minutes. This includes any articles, products, categories, users, or settings you create or modify.
Do not enter real data of any kind on showcase sites. This includes:
- Real names, email addresses, or contact information
- Real payment or financial information
- Real customer or client data
- Confidential business information
RCA is not responsible for any real-world data entered on showcase sites that is viewed by other users, captured by RCA's server logs, or lost in a scheduled reset.
6. No Warranty for Showcase Sites
Showcase sites are provided "as is" for evaluation purposes only. RCA does not guarantee:
- Availability at any particular time (showcase sites may be offline for maintenance)
- That showcase site content accurately reflects production extension behavior in all edge cases
- That data entered before a reset will be recoverable
7. Enforcement
RCA reserves the right to:
- Block or ban any IP address, browser fingerprint, or user account found to be violating this AUP, without notice
- Log and retain evidence of AUP violations for security purposes and, where applicable, report violations to law enforcement
- Modify showcase account permissions at any time
Violations of this AUP may also constitute violations of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030), the Maine Computer Crimes Act, and other applicable law. Serious violations will be referred to law enforcement.
8. Reporting Abuse
If you observe AUP violations on any RCA showcase site, or if you discover a genuine security vulnerability, please report it to:
