Migration paths and everyday Feed Factory plus Helix workflows.

Migrate from Helix Format only

Install Compat. Leave Helix Format On and Media Bridge Off unless you also need image sync. Confirm Feed Factory 6.0.18 or newer and the Helix Format fieldset still appears. Import one test item and confirm format fields. Disable and uninstall the old Helix Format package.

Migrate from Media Bridge only

Install Compat. Leave Media Bridge On and Helix Format Off unless you also need formats. Match fill-empty, clear missing, and scrape settings to what you used before. Re-save one known article and confirm image fields sync. Disable and uninstall the old Media Bridge package.

Migrate from both old plugins

Install once. Confirm both legacy plugins disabled. Leave Helix Format and Media Bridge On. Test one import and one image sync. Uninstall both old packages. Do not run legacy plugins beside Compat.

YouTube or video enclosure feed

Leave Helix Format On, set format to Video, import one item, confirm the Helix video field holds a normalized URL, and confirm the frontend video layout renders. Leave Media Bridge On if thumbnails matter.

Image gallery feed

Set format to Gallery, import, confirm enclosure set maps into gallery attribs, and spot-check count and order on the frontend.

Audio enclosure feed

Set format to Audio, import, confirm Helix audio field and related attribs, and test playback in the Helix blog layout you actually use.

Helix image filled but SP Page Builder card blank

Leave Media Bridge On, re-save the article, clear cache, hard-refresh, and confirm the SPPB addon binds to the field you actually filled. Compat does not rewrite SP Page Builder layout JSON.

Site has no Helix

Leave unused switches Off. Expect no effect and no damage.
