Start by separating Media Manager problems from toolbar and Options problems. Check which feature switches are On before you blame SP Page Builder itself or reinstall random ZIPs.
A vendor update overwrites patched files when Media patches was On. Leave Media patches On and reload admin so the plugin can try to restore its fixes. Clear Joomla cache and any opcode or CDN cache you control. Open SP Page Builder Media Manager and confirm both the SPPB files root and the Joomla images root still appear when dual-root behavior matters to you.
Confirm Media patches is still On under System → Plugins → System - RCA SPPB Compat. Reinstall RCA SPPB Compat so patch logic runs again. Read the install message for target warnings that mention your SP Page Builder version. Note the version and warning text if you need support. Do not hand-edit SP Page Builder core blindly.
Confirm Article checkout is On and the Compat plugin is enabled. Clear cache. If RCA SPPB Article Checkout is still enabled beside Compat, disable the legacy plugin and use Compat only. Edit an article in SP Page Builder, return to the normal article screen, and confirm Save and Save and Close return.
Confirm Options field path and License update sync are both On. Retest saving SP Page Builder Options with empty license fields if that matches your site policy. If the old Config plugin is still enabled beside Compat, disable it and use Compat only.
When install warns that Media patches targets changed or are missing, write down your SP Page Builder version and the exact message. Email
Uninstall restores from sibling .rca-orig backups when they still exist. If someone deleted a backup or a file was patched before backups existed, reinstall stock SP Page Builder or restore from your site backup for that path.
Turn Diagnostics Off when you are done debugging Options. Leaving it On in production fills the PHP log with notes you are not reading, which helps nobody.
