What is RCA Helix Compat?
A free Bugfix system plugin for Helix Ultimate and Helix3 on Joomla 4, 5, and 6. One host covers Helix blog formats on Feed Factory import and Helix-core featured image sync. Install element rca_helix_compat. Supersedes separate Helix Format and Media Bridge packages.
Do I still need Helix Format or Media Bridge plugins?
No. Their jobs are feature switches here. Uninstall old packages after Compat works.
Does Media Bridge rewrite Helix PHP on disk?
No. It updates article image and attribute fields only.
Which Feed Factory version do I need for formats?
6.0.18 or newer for the Import2Content Helix Format fieldset.
Can I use format features without Feed Factory?
Helix Format is an Import2Content companion. Without Feed Factory it has nothing to hook on import. Media Bridge does not require Feed Factory for save-time sync.
What is fill-empty versus mirror?
Fill-empty writes only into blank fields. Mirror forces a chosen side to win. Use mirror only when you know which field is authoritative.
Will fill-empty overwrite my Helix image?
No. If the Helix field already has a value, fill-empty leaves it alone unless you switch to mirror mode.
Why is the video URL fine but the featured image missing?
Featured images are Media Bridge. Leave Media Bridge On and re-save or sync images. Helix Format already did the format half.
Is it free?
Yes. Public feed at https://recreatinganew.com. Feed Factory is Pro when you need importing.
