Install and Updates

RCA Storefront installs as a single Pro package that registers a private update feed. Upgrades replace library and module versions together. Uninstall removes Storefront pieces from Extensions; it does not delete J2Commerce products, Conditional Products rules, or Bridge sid_map data.

Install pkg_rca_storefront

Confirm J2Commerce loads and you know product IDs or categories you intend to display. Download the package from https://recreatinganew.com. Open System → Install → Extensions, upload pkg_rca_storefront, and wait for success notices that mention next steps such as publishing the Product Catalog module.

Verify lib_rca_storefront is present as a library extension and mod_rca_product_catalog is present as a site module. The module declares a dependency on the library; both must survive install.

First publish checklist

Open Content → Site Modules, publish RCA Product Catalog, assign position and menu, set Access, choose product source, save, then view the front end. An empty module almost always means unpublished module, wrong assignment, empty selection, unpublished products, access level mismatch, or cache—not a missing theme.

Upgrade procedure

Install the newer pkg_rca_storefront ZIP over the existing package or accept the Pro update feed in Joomla Update. Confirm package version 1.2.5 or newer and that child versions in release notes match what Extensions reports for library and module. Clear Joomla cache after upgrade, then open one catalog page and one product detail path.

Version 1.2.4 fixed Product Catalog CSS loading on SP Page Builder pages through library document fallback. If cards looked unstyled on builder pages after an earlier release, retest after you reach 1.2.4 or newer.

Uninstall expectations

Uninstalling the package removes Storefront library and module files from the site. J2Commerce products, orders, RCA Conditional Products rules, and RCA OSB to J2C Bridge sid_map rows remain unless you remove those extensions separately. Turn off Storefront eligibility styling if you remove RCA Conditional Products enforcement but leave modules published, or shoppers will see locks that no longer mean anything.

License and feed

Storefront is Pro. Updates use the private feed at https://recreatinganew.com/extensions/private/feeds/. Pricing is listed on the product page; do not invent numbers from old email quotes.
