RCA Helix Compat is the free Bugfix host for Helix Ultimate and Helix3 on Joomla 4, 5, and 6. One system plugin covers Helix blog formats on Feed Factory import and Helix-to-core featured image sync. Format work writes video, gallery, and audio fields so imported items are not blank Standard posts. Image work keeps Helix featured images and Joomla intro or fulltext images aligned. SP Page Builder can benefit when an addon reads those synced core image fields. Helix still comes from JoomShaper. This plugin does not replace Helix and does not patch Helix PHP on disk.
Version 1.0.0 merged RCA Helix Format Bridge and RCA Media Bridge into System - RCA Helix Compat. The install element is rca_helix_compat. The installer disables the legacy format and media bridge plugins when present. Uninstall the old packages after you confirm this host works.
Helix Format defaults On for Feed Factory imports that should set Helix blog formats. Media Bridge defaults On when Helix featured and core images should stay aligned on save and optional frontend prepare paths. You choose fill-empty, mirror, or Off sync modes, optional body scrape, clear missing paths, and bulk tools for backlog cleanup.
Use it if you run Helix Ultimate or Helix3 and import feeds with RCA Feed Factory 6.0.18 or newer. Use it if imports land as blank Standard posts or leave one image side filled and the other blank. Use it if you migrated from separate Helix Format or Media Bridge plugins.
Skip Helix Format if you are not on Feed Factory 6.0.18 or newer or you do not import Helix blog formats. Skip Media Bridge if you never set Helix or core article images. Skip the whole plugin if you expected Helix template files to be rewritten on disk. This host only writes article attribs and image fields.
Helix Format will not invent a thumbnail by itself. Fill-empty will not pick a winner when both image sides already hold different values unless you deliberately use mirror mode. Ledger restore is first-write-wins oriented, not a time machine. SP Page Builder benefits only when it reads synced core image paths, not when an addon points at an empty custom field.
