Integrations

RCA ArrowChat integrates Joomla with an existing ArrowChat install from ArrowSuites. It is not a replacement for ArrowChat APIs, billing, or room configuration, and it does not integrate with unrelated RCA products unless your site template or custom code does that separately.

ArrowSuites ArrowChat core

You must install and license ArrowChat from ArrowSuites under the site root. RCA ArrowChat reads ArrowChat’s autoload.php, writes integration.php through Write bridge, and loads chat on the frontend through the system plugin. ArrowChat updates from ArrowSuites may replace integration.php; plan to click Write bridge again after those updates so Joomla identity and avatars match component Options.

Joomla users, avatars, and friends

Write bridge bakes friend list mode and avatar resolver settings into integration.php so ArrowChat can use Joomla user identity and optional friend lists. Friend mode only works when your site exposes the friend data the bridge expects. Avatar mode only works when you enable avatars in Options, pick a matching source, and run Write bridge so integration.php includes the RCA resolver.

Joomla templates and custom.css

The system plugin keeps template css/custom.css last in the cascade so Helix, Fusion, or other templates can style chat without core template surgery. Staff module ring colors can be tuned in module params or via CSS variables in custom.css.

What RCA ArrowChat does not integrate

RCA ArrowChat does not configure ArrowSuites commerce, credits, or rooms. It does not replace helpdesk tickets, form builders, or community extensions unless you wire those yourself. It is glue for licensed ArrowChat on Joomla 4 through 6, not a full support platform.
