Troubleshooting

When audio should play but does not, walk this list in order before you email support. Most failures are path, codec, HTTPS, access, or cache issues, not mysterious player bugs.

No sound at all

Confirm the media path saved correctly in the module after you clicked Save. Confirm the file is actually MP3, OGG, or WAV the browser can decode, not merely renamed. Confirm the page is not loading HTTP audio on HTTPS. Confirm the browser is not waiting for a user click because of autoplay policy; click Play deliberately. Confirm the module is Published, assigned to the menu item you are viewing, and Access allows the user you test as. Confirm the server sends a sensible MIME type for that extension.

Player chrome appears but stays silent on one track

Re-export or re-encode the file and upload again. Test the same file in a desktop browser tab with a plain HTML5 audio tag if you need proof the file itself is valid. Check file permissions on disk so the web server can read Media Manager storage.

Module looks empty on the frontend

Confirm media selection was saved, subform rows are filled, and you removed blank rows. Confirm Access level and menu assignment include the page you refresh. Clear Joomla cache and any CDN or template cache. Edit the module, change nothing, save again to force params to write if you suspect a stale session.

Flash-era UI or MooTools errors in the console

You are on a pre-2.0 package or a leftover ExtensionSpot module copy still published. Install current Pro pkg_rca_jukebox from your purchase path, unpublish legacy modules, clear cache, and retest. The 2.0.x line uses WebAssetManager and HTML5 only.

Updates not offered in Joomla

Confirm Pro or private feed access for this product. Confirm you installed from the Pro download path, not a public free feed. Clear Joomla update cache in System, Update, then check again. Free public feeds will not list Pro Jukebox.

Works on desktop but not on iPhone

Expected differences include required tap to start and stricter bandwidth behavior. Make Play obvious. Avoid autoplay assumptions in marketing copy. Retest on Wi-Fi and cellular once.

When to email support
