These answers match product.md and the 2.0.3 Pro line. If your ZIP or feed disagrees, trust the version Joomla shows after install and email support with that number.
Is this free?
No. RCA Jukebox is a Pro product. The suite is $237 one-time. Updates use the private feed path under Pro terms at https://recreatinganew.com, not the public free feeds.
What is the current version?
pkg_rca_jukebox at 2.0.3 is the current Pro line. Install from your RCA Pro download or private update feed. Do not install pre-2.0 Flash-era ZIPs.
Do I still need Flash?
No. HTML5 only. Flash and MooTools are gone on the v2.x rebuild.
Which formats work?
MP3, OGG, and WAV through Joomla Media Manager. Pick files with the media fields on each module.
Do I have to publish all four modules?
Install pkg_rca_jukebox to register all four modules in Site Modules. Publish only the ones you need: main player, playlist, grid, and/or single item.
What does each module do?
The main player is the primary library or sticky player for a listening page or site-wide bar. The playlist is an ordered track list in a sidebar or content position. The grid is a browseable set of tracks for library or archive layouts. The single item is one track in a tight spot such as an article sidebar or callout.
Which Joomla and PHP versions are supported?
Joomla 4, 5, 6, and 7 with PHP 8.1 or newer, plus a modern browser with HTML5 audio.
Where did Dropbox go?
Removed. Host files in Media Manager. The old ExtensionSpot Dropbox chooser is not part of RCA Jukebox.
What is the package name?
pkg_rca_jukebox for the installer package. Child modules are mod_rca_jukebox, mod_rca_jukebox_playlist, mod_rca_jukebox_grid, and mod_rca_jukebox_item.
Why does a track show the player but make no sound?
Usual causes are a bad media path, a file that is not a real MP3, OGG, or WAV, mixed HTTP content on HTTPS, Access hiding output for your test user, autoplay policy waiting for a click, or wrong MIME type from the server.
Why will iOS or Safari not autoplay?
Mobile browsers often require a user tap before audio starts. Design obvious Play controls. Do not promise silent autoplay on phones.
Can I skin the player?
Yes. Module parameters include custom skin colors. Put heavier layout overrides in template custom.css if parameters are not enough.
Does it stream from YouTube or Spotify?
No. This is on-site HTML5 playback for files you host.
Can guests hear the audio?
Yes if module Access includes Public or Guest and files are reachable without login. Registered-only modules hide output from guests.
I still see Flash-era UI. Is it broken?
You are likely on a pre-2.0 ZIP or a legacy module still published. Install current Pro pkg_rca_jukebox, unpublish old copies, clear cache.
Why are updates not offered in Joomla?
Confirm private feed or Pro download access. Free public feeds will not list Pro Jukebox.
Who gets credit for the original modules?
Original ExtensionSpot and AudioFly author credit remains in manifests. ReCreatingAnew owns the Joomla 4 through 7 rebuild path.
