Install and Updates

RCA File Desk ships as a single component ZIP named com_rca_filedesk_{version}.zip. The manifest element is com_rca_filedesk. Pro updates publish through the private feed URL embedded in the manifest after 1.1.0.

Fresh install

Download the ZIP from your RCA Pro downloads area or use the ZIP your account email references. In Joomla administrator, open Extensions, Manage, Install, upload the package, and wait for the success message. Confirm Components, RCA File Desk appears in the menu.

Upgrade from 1.0.x beta or free line

Install the 1.1.0 or newer Pro ZIP over the existing component. Joomla runs the upgrade path; your component options (path, MIME list, advanced permissions) stay in #__extensions params. Clear administrator cache if the menu looks stale.

Joomla updater

After purchase, your site must use the Pro update server entry from the installed manifest. Open System, Update, Extensions and check for updates the way you do for other RCA Pro products. If no update appears, confirm you installed a build that includes the private updateserver URL and that your RCA update credentials or download token policy matches your other Pro extensions.

Uninstall

Uninstalling removes the component files and menu entry. It does not delete content under your configured storage path or files already in tmp/trash. Back up before uninstall if you used trash heavily.
