Quick Start

This quick start assumes you already purchased RCA File Desk and can install Pro extensions from your RCA account or upload ZIP workflow.

Install and open

Install com_rca_filedesk from Extensions, Manage, Install. Open Components, RCA File Desk. You should see the elFinder toolbar and an empty or populated tree depending on your default path.

Set the storage folder

Click the Options toolbar button (component preferences). Set Path to images for a typical media folder, or a single dot for the site root if you accept the risk. Save. Reload File Desk so the connector picks up the new root.

Smoke test

Upload a small JPEG, open Quick Look, switch between list and icon view, select a file and use invert selection, then delete to trash and empty trash if you are satisfied. If every step works, permissions and MIME rules are sane for your host.
