Configuration

There is nothing to tune in plugin options for normal operation. Configuration means understanding what install, reinstall, and uninstall do to one file.

Plugin enabled state

Leave System - RCA OSCampus Compat enabled so Joomla retains the extension record and you can reinstall after OSCampus updates. Disabling the plugin does not revert AbstractBase.php. The patch remains in the vendor file until an OSCampus update overwrites it or you uninstall Compat with a valid backup restore.

The patched file

Live file path: administrator/components/com_oscampus/library/oscampus/AbstractBase.php. Backup path after first successful patch: AbstractBase.php.rca-orig in the same directory.

No feature switches

Unlike merged RCA Compat hosts for SPPB or Helix, this package applies one surgical fix on install and reinstall. You do not choose patch intensity in admin. You choose whether to install at all.

When you need to reinstall

Reinstall Compat after every OSCampus component update because vendor updates replace AbstractBase.php with an unpatched copy. Treat reinstall as part of your OSCampus maintenance checklist, not as optional hygiene.
