Install and Updates

Installation

Install the module package mod_rca_menu_scope through System → Install → Extensions or the Joomla updater when your site uses the RCA pro feed.

Install the companion plugin package plg_system_rca_menu_scope_visibility the same way. Enable it under System → Plugins. The module can render on assigned pages without the plugin, but anchor-branch documentation sites should treat the plugin as required.

After install, create or edit your site module instance under Content → Site Modules. There is no separate global configuration screen for Menu Scope beyond standard module options.

Updates

Use the Joomla updater when your license feed includes both packages. After upgrading the module, clear site cache and hard-refresh the browser so Web Asset Manager loads current CSS.

Recent module releases include sidebar layout fixes for Bootstrap-based templates (column layout and wrapped hub labels in the left column). If hubs appeared on one horizontal line after an upgrade, confirm you are on module 2.0.10 or newer and cache is cleared.

Uninstall

Uninstalling the module removes the instance and package files. Uninstalling the plugin stops anchor-branch injection; remaining module instances only honor the Menu Assignment tab. Uninstall does not delete your menu items.

Legacy plugin warning

Do not run plg_system_rca_menu_scope (the older mod_menu scope injection plugin) together with this module. Disable or uninstall the legacy plugin if it is still on the site from an earlier experiment.
