RCA Jukebox is Pro software that depends on your Joomla stack, your browser, and files you host yourself. Meet these requirements before you buy time debugging silent players.
You need Joomla 4, 5, 6, or 7 with PHP 8.1 or newer. Super User access, or equivalent rights to install extensions and publish modules, is required for setup. Guest-facing playback still respects module Access levels you set later.
You need a modern browser with HTML5 audio support. Serve pages over HTTPS when the site is public. Mixed content from HTTP audio URLs on an HTTPS page will fail in the browser; that failure looks like a broken player but is really a site URL discipline problem.
You need audio files uploaded to Joomla Media Manager as MP3, OGG, or WAV. The file must actually be the format it claims; renaming alone does not convert codecs. You need server MIME types that match the extension so browsers accept the stream.
You need Pro package access for pkg_rca_jukebox downloads and private feed updates at https://recreatinganew.com. The suite is $237 one-time under current product terms. Updates follow RCA Pro terms via the private feed, not the public free feeds.
RCA does not ship audio files, CDN hosting, Spotify or YouTube embeds, or Dropbox chooser integration. You are the host. Jukebox is not a podcast syndication engine and not a streaming platform in the cloud.
Mobile browsers often require a user tap before audio starts; do not promise silent autoplay on phones. Pre-2.0 Flash-era ZIPs are a different product line. Publish only the modules you need; installing the package does not obligate you to show all four at once.
