Install and Updates

RCA Frontpage ships as mod_rca_frontpage_{version}.zip. The manifest element is mod_rca_frontpage. Every retail ZIP includes the Pro private update feed URL in the manifest updateservers block.

Fresh install

Download the ZIP from your RCA Pro account or install from your approved workflow. Upload through Extensions, Manage, Install, then publish a module instance.

Upgrade from Minifrontpage Pro

Do not install mod_rca_frontpage over mod_minifrontpagepro as an in-place upgrade. Unpublish or uninstall the legacy module, install mod_rca_frontpage, and recreate instances with equivalent category, layout, and theme settings.

Joomla updater

Open System, Update, Extensions after install. The site must use a retail build that registered the private updateserver entry. Pro downloads use the private feed and download token policy on recreatinganew.com.

Uninstall

Uninstalling removes module files. Cached thumbnails under images/thumbnails/mod_rca_frontpage/ may remain until you delete them; articles are not removed.
