Compat wraps EasySocial on a Joomla site. It does not replace StackIdeas licensing or other community extensions unless those extensions conflict with the same files or UI.

EasySocial from StackIdeas

You must install and license EasySocial from StackIdeas. Compat patches a small set of files on install, adjusts article stream parameters at runtime, and loads plugin assets for emoji and optional paste. All other EasySocial behavior remains StackIdeas’s product.

Joomla com_content

Article stream ownership targets Joomla articles published into EasySocial’s article app stream. Workflow plugins that fire multiple saves can still stress any stream logic; Compat includes request-scoped guards for known multi-fire cases documented in release notes.

Helix and other templates

Emoji picker assets load through Joomla document APIs in ways that survive Helix and similar templates. If the old grid still appears, suspect template overrides before you blame Compat.

Former Photo Paste plugin

Compat 1.2.4 absorbs the standalone Photo Paste feature. Uninstall the old plugin after Compat works. Running both is unsupported.

RCA SPPB Compat and Helix Compat

Those Bugfix hosts target SP Page Builder and Helix respectively. They do not install EasySocial patches. No special coupling is required beyond normal Joomla plugin ordering and your template choices.
