Integrations

This plugin sits beside SP Page Builder and optional RCA Helix tooling. It does not replace either product.

SP Page Builder from JoomShaper

Compat assumes SP Page Builder is already installed and licensed through JoomShaper. All editor, layout, and addon behavior remains SPPB’s responsibility. Compat adds Bugfix switches for Media Manager disk patches, article checkout, Options loading, license update sync, and optional diagnostics.

RCA Helix Compat

Helix Compat syncs Helix featured images with core intro and fulltext fields when Media Bridge is enabled. SP Page Builder addons that read core image fields can benefit after Helix Media Bridge runs. RCA SPPB Compat does not write Helix attribs and does not rewrite SP Page Builder layout JSON. If a hero image is blank in SPPB but fine in Helix, fix the field binding and image sync first, then retest the addon.

RCA Feed Factory

Feed Factory creates and updates articles from feeds. SPPB Compat does not participate in import. If imported articles use SP Page Builder layouts, editors still rely on Article checkout and Options switches when they work in admin after import.

Joomla core

Article checkout hooks com_content article edit flow. Options field path and License update sync interact with SP Page Builder Options and Joomla’s extension update site records. Media patches touch only the listed files under com_sppagebuilder in administrator, not core Joomla components.

Joomla Extensions Directory

The non-patching switches are ordinary event-based Bugfixes. Media patches rewrite another vendor’s files and are distributed outside JED with explicit CODE HACK warnings. Plan any JED listing around switches that do not modify SPPB on disk, or distribute Media patches only through RCA’s free channel with warnings.
