Support for RCA J2C Direct Download covers installation, configuration, shortcode eligibility, and download endpoint behavior described in this manual. It does not cover third-party template redesign, unrelated J2Commerce misconfiguration, or server tuning for very large files.

Before you email support

Collect Joomla version, PHP version, J2Commerce version, plugin version 1.0.7 or newer, the numeric product ID in the shortcode, and whether the failure happens on render or on download submit. Note whether the visitor was guest or logged in and whether Allow Guest Downloads is Yes or No.

Reproduce once as a Super User on the same article. Admin-only hints often name the eligibility failure immediately, which saves a round trip.

What to include in the ticket

Send the article URL, the exact shortcode you embedded with product ID, screenshots of J2Commerce product type price and file attachment, and screenshots of plugin options. If styling failed, note whether plugin CSS loads in browser dev tools on that page.

Where to get the package and updates

Download plg_content_rca_j2c_directdownload from https://recreatinganew.com. This extension is free and uses the public extension update feed. Checksum failures on update usually mean the live ZIP and feed SHA256 were not deployed together; retry after confirm deploy.
