RCA File Desk integrates with Joomla core, not with a parallel framework.

Joomla Media

File Desk does not replace com_media. You can point Path at folders Media also uses; avoid letting two teams rename the same tree without coordination. Prefer one tool as primary for a given folder.

RCA Pro updates

Manifest updateservers point at the RCA private feed for com_rca_filedesk after 1.1.0. Treat updates like other Pro components: install credentials, download.php tokens, and feed copies on recreatinganew.com are handled on the RCA side when you deploy releases.

elFinder upstream

UI strings and help for elFinder itself remain in the bundled elFinder i18n files. RCA does not fork elFinder feature docs; see Studio 42 elFinder documentation for obscure elFinder commands RCA did not disable.

Future cloud drivers

The libs tree still contains upstream driver classes for FTP and cloud providers. RCA’s connector registers LocalFileSystem plus Trash only. Do not assume FTP or Google Drive works without a future RCA release that explicitly enables and supports it.
