Overview
RCA Feed Factory is a Pro suite that pulls RSS and Atom feeds into real Joomla articles. You add remote feed URLs, map each item into com_content with Import2Content, publish or queue on a schedule, and present feeds on the frontend with the included modules and plugins. It continues RSS Factory Pro from ThePHPFactory with the original author’s written permission, rebuilt for Joomla 4 through 6 with modern PHP, SimplePie parsing, and no abandoned Magpie stack. Package name is pkg_rca_feedfactory. Product materials reference version 6.0.19; your Pro updater may offer 6.0.20 or newer.
What pkg_rca_feedfactory installs
One Pro package installs com_rca_feedfactory for administrator feed and Import2Content management, mod_rca_feedfactory and mod_rca_feedfactory_categories for frontend presentation, plg_system_rca_feedfactory for scheduled fetch and system integration, plg_content_rca_feedfactory for content-related import behavior, and plg_finder_rca_feedfactory plus plg_search_rca_feedfactory when you want Smart Search or classic Search to index imports. English docs also land under media/com_rca_feedfactory/docs/ after install.
What Feed Factory is not
Feed Factory is not Joomla’s format=feed exporter; core export and Feed Factory import are opposite jobs. Feed Factory 6.0.x is Pro with a private update feed, not a free public-feed product. Feed Factory does not grant you rights to republish remote publishers’ content; you still own copyright and permission decisions on your site.
