Authenticating updates
Original (Minitek Wall Pro)
Info
This section applies only to the Pro version of the extension. The Free version can be updated without authentication.
The extension must be authenticated before you can update it. To authenticate and update Minitek Wall:
Go to Downloads Section and download the latest version of the plugin Minitek Updates Authentication.
Install the plugin in your website via the Extension Manager.
Open the plugin, publish it and paste your Download ID into the Download ID parameter. Click on Save & Close.
That's it! The extension will now notify you whenever there is a new version released. Please note that you will be able to receive updates only for the duration of your subscription at Minitek.gr.
Current (RCA MasonryWall)
Use RCA Download ID in the component dashboard and the RCA Updates Authentication plugin from recreatinganew.com. Update feed is extensions/private/feeds/pkg_rca_masonrywall.xml. Minitek download keys do not apply.
Content plugins
Original (Minitek Wall Pro)
Minitek Wall is content agnostic. This means that you can feed any type of content from any 3rd party extension to the widget. This is done via content plugins (source plugins).
Content plugins must be installed manually. You can download content plugins (source plugins) from the Downloads section. More content plugins will be released in the future. You can even create your own content plugin for any 3rd party extension.
Current (RCA MasonryWall)
Enable Content - RCA MasonryWall Content for com_content categories. Other sources use plg_content_rca_masonrywallcustom, folder, rss, videos, audio, pdf, and optional third-party bridges when those products exist on your site.

Template overrides
Original (Minitek Wall Pro)
Important
Template overrides are not recommended as there are frequent updates and changes in the front-end template files. Updates may introduce new features or changes that break template overrides from older versions.
If you still want to use template overrides, make sure that you update the overriden files on every component update. Always check the changelog of the extension when updating.
To create a template override for a masonry widget:
Create a directory com_minitekwall inside the html directory of your website template.
Create a directory masonry inside the com_minitekwall directory.
In the field Layout >Template, select the new template override.
If you have selected a Masonry - Grid layout, you must customize the file override_masonry.php. If you have selected a Masonry - Columns layout, you must customize the file override_columns.php. If you have selected a Vertical list layout, you must customize the file override_list.php.
Current (RCA MasonryWall)
Override site tmpl under templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_rca_masonrywall/masonry/ the same way you would for com_minitekwall upstream.

Enable image link
If enabled, clicking on the item image will redirect to the item page.
Fallback image path
Relative path to image. This image will be displayed if an item does not have an image. Leave blank if you don't want to display a fallback image.
Crop images
If this parameter is enabled, all images will be cropped to the specified dimensions. The images will be cropped starting from the center of the image.
Info
Cropped images are stored in PATH_TO_JOOMLA/images/mwall/. If you change the images in some of the items displayed in the widget, you must click on Delete cropped images in the extension dashboard so that the images are refreshed.
